Spiritual Identity — Leadership Practice —Constructive Feedback — Followership Development

Most leadership training consists of theory and watching someone else lead while you take notes. This is not that kind of training. Designed for experienced leaders, this training will take you to the next level by focusing on your identity in Christ and your leadership practices. This course is an opportunity to learn high level leadership skills and concepts in a hands-on manner through practical experience.

Identity and Practice

We follow Jesus, lead, and serve others out of our identity as Sons and Daughters of God. Our leadership will never rise above our identity in Christ. In this course, most of our discussion time will consist of exploring our spiritual identity and the behaviors that are a fruit of those concepts (and misconceptions).

Rarely do leaders get the chance to lead among their peers and receive feedback and analysis of those practices. During the course, each student will have the opportunity to co-lead a day, as well as opportunities to follow the leadership of their peers. Students will receive constructive feedback in both situations.

Boot Camp

Our time together will consist of outdoor activities, experiential learning time (don’t worry — no trust falls), preparing meals together, worship, devotionals, and topics for executive leadership development. Deep wells create the capacity for more life. In this short time you will be challenged, called deeper, equipped to go farther, and sent home in the power of the Holy Spirit.

• Rest and Brokenness

Who: This course is for individuals with moderate previous leadership experience, either inside or outside of ministry. . This course is open to individuals outside of the Gateway District.

Date: Sunday August 19 to Saturday 25, 2018

We will depart from the District Office at 6pm Sunday, August 19th for our basecamp location and return to the District Office by 12noon on August 25th.

Cost: $645 per person (includes meals and lodging, does not include travel to and from the District Office)

Application Information

A completed application is required, accompanied by a $100 deposit. If accepted, the deposit will go towards the full price of the course. If your application is not accepted the $100 deposit will be returned to you.

Upon acceptance of your application, the balance of $545 will be due and slots reserved as full payment is received. Since space is limited, your spot on the course will not be reserved until full payment has been received.

For accepted applications, the $100 deposit is not refundable, even if the individual decides not to attend the course.
